The Notice of Availability includes text in English and at least the top 15 languages spoken in your state(s).
This page educates patients on the resources available to them free of charge, such as translation services and other aids for patients with disabilities. This is required, effective July 5, 2025, per the Section 1557 Final Rule [Source: https://www.federalregister.gov/d/2024-08711/p-2431].
We have been implementing this change since February, so many of the agencies who work with us already have this page included in their booklets. If it is not yet in your booklet, we will be sure to add it at the time of your next reorder.
The current administration has taken down the Section 1557 web page. We don’t know what that means for the future of this requirement, but for now we are proceeding as specified by the Final Rule.
