Once your patient orientation booklet is reviewed by our team of editors and approved by you, it’s time for the booklets to print and ship, and that process can take 2-3 weeks. “Why does it take 2-3 weeks to print and ship?” is a common question many of our clients ask. For someone who might not understand the reordering process, it can seem like a long time. We understand! Keep in mind, we want your booklet to be perfect, and perfection takes time.
Our product is customized to fit your agency’s needs. It’s a made-to-order product so it takes some tender loving care to produce. This all ensures you are happy with the product you’ve paid for. That is why we always encourage our clients to reorder their home care orientation booklets with plenty of time. That way, you don’t run out between printings, and you love your home care orientation booklet.
There are a few major reasons why each order fits within this time frame:
Ensures a quality product
Each time a booklet goes to print, it goes through a complex system in order to achieve the finished product. It’s not a simple scan and staple together procedure. We set up a press, print the cover, create any NCR forms and bind together. Larger orders of orientation booklets that are more complex (such as folder booklets) also require ample time to ensure they come out looking great.
Accounts for shipping delays or longer shipping routes
We work with FedEx to ship all orders. They work diligently to make sure your order gets to your office safely and quickly. However, sometimes weather and other factors can delay your orientation booklets, which is why a larger timeframe is necessary. In addition, agencies farther away can take up to 5-6 business days to ship.
If you’re in a pickle and you need a rush on your booklets, we are more than happy to accommodate. Please note that this usually shaves off a few days, but your wait time will still be about 2-3 weeks. Another option would be to expedite your shipping. We can discuss options for expedited shipping should you decide to pay for a small quantity overnighted.
If you’re an existing client and you’ve opened your last box, it’s time to start your reorder. We always recommend clients reorder about 4-5 weeks from the time the need their new order. This gives both you and us ample time to make sure the booklets is up to your standards. Not a client, but interested in learning more about our custom home care orientation booklets?
