Sometimes, MedForms receives reorders from agencies that are almost out of patient admission booklets and their updated booklets aren’t expected to arrive until after the agency has depleted its current booklet supply. It happens! We’re all human, but what can you do to avoid this?
We recommend 3 tactics for avoiding this stressful situation:
1) keep a pulse on your current inventory by setting recurring reminders on your calendar;
2) pay attention when you open a new box of booklets, as there are reorder reminder slips in each box; and
3) keep an eye on your email, as we have new automatically generated reorder reminder emails that will be sent to the last person who ordered 6 months after your last order.
When you utilize the above reminders and reorder six weeks prior to running out of booklets, this provides ample cushion time for your order to wait its turn in our queue, editing and to account for the standard 2-3 week printing and shipping process.
Reminder of Reorder Process and Timelines
All orders are completed on a first come, first serve basis. When you place an order, we put your order in the queue and typically email you a proof in about 5-7 business days. Once approved by your agency, the patient orientation booklet goes to print, and printing and shipping timeline is 2-3 weeks. We can expedite shipping, but it generally only saves you about 1 day or so.
How We Help
In addition to reorder reminder slips in each box of booklets and emailed reminders we send, we are more than happy to send you a clean PDF of any forms in your booklet to print in the interim until your booklets arrive, as we understand that things happen and reorders can get overlooked. Ultimately though, the very best way to avoid running out of booklets while you are working on new ones is by placing your reorder six weeks in advance.
