Booklets printed through MedForms are printed in 4-page signatures, which is why additional pages are added in increments of four. Our booklets are printed using a color cover and blank ink on the inside pages.
Saddle Stitch vs. Perfect Binding
Saddle stitch binding is an effective method of bookbinding for booklets with less than 72 pages (excluding cover). Saddle stitching is a method in which the booklet is stapled through the fold line.
Booklets 72 pages (excluding cover) and higher are perfect bound, in which a layer of adhesive holds the cover and the pages together at the spine.
Additional Printing Services (available at an upcharge):
- Carbonless forms can be added to your booklet for an additional charge. We offer 2-part/NCR forms and 3-part/NCR forms. There is a maximum of four 2-part/NCR forms per booklet. This is in an effort to keep the quality of the booklet as best as possible.
- Color inserts can be added to the booklet as an upcharge per page. A client may choose to add a color insert to the booklet for a form like the California state-specific POLST form, for example, that is currently encouraged to be printed on 65# Astrobrights Pulsar Pink stock.
- Color ink interior pages are available for a page that a client may prefer to be printed in color. There is an upcharge for interior pages that do not include the inside front or inside back cover. The interior cover pages are not an upcharge for being printed in color.
- 3-Hole punch is an option for clients looking to have their entire booklet 3-hole punched. This service is provided as an upcharge per page.
- Folder booklets are available for an increased cost per booklet with a minimum order quantity of 500 booklets. If your agency orders a minimum of 500 booklets and is looking for a cover option that has a pocket on the inside front and inside back covers, the folder cover option may be a helpful cover option! Please note that this service is not available to clients ordering less than 500 booklets.
